MERIDEN, Conn. (WFSB) - A person was struck by a car on US-5 in Meriden on Saturday night, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
Police said the person suffered life-threatening injuries.
Officers reportedly found the victim in the roadway.
Witnesses told police the car had fled the scene.
“Currently, the identity of both [the] victim and driver are unknown,” said Meriden police.
DOT said the crash happened around 8:52 p.m.
Broad St. is closed in both directions between Atkins St. and Britannica. for the crash.
