Palisade High School's Teagan Young was the only District 51 wrestler to win a title at the 41-team, two-day Western Slope Showdown in Montrose.
The 126-pound senior defeated North Fork's Bronson Hall by a 22-5 technical fall in Saturday's title match — one of three technical falls for Young during the tournament. Young's toughest match was in the semifinals, a 1-0 victory over James Moore from Aztec, New Mexico, when Young scored an escape in the third period and held on for the win.
The Bulldogs' Tobyn Trottier finished second at 285, losing 7-0 to Mullen's Champion Dyes.
Cedaredge had two champions — Jared Roberts (113) and Cash Martinez (120). Roberts won a 9-1 major decision over Holy Family's Tyler McCracken and Martinez pinned San Creek's Tristan Pino in 1 minute, 19 seconds.
