Around 90 minutes after the Brown University shooting began at 4:05 p.m., I drove past police tape stretched across entire streets near the Barus & Holley building where it started, and soon after parking nearby, saw four young men run out of it with their hands up, directed by police standing by cars with flashing lights.
The four exited at the Brook Street entrance of a wing of the building. They were clearly rattled and continued to run a half block north on Brook Street, keeping their hands up, then another full block to the intersection of Waterman and Thayer streets.
