HONESDALE, Pa. — 30 teams participated in Honesdale High School's Queen of the Hive all-girl's wrestling tournament Saturday afternoon.
Many team's from Districts II and XI competed in the tournament, which has been one of the largest girl's tournaments in the area since it started.
The PIAA sanctioned girl's high school wrestling in 2023, and the sport has only gotten more popular.
"It's such an honor to be part of this. It's a great opportunity to grow girls wrestling. It's been up and coming for years, and we are just so grateful that we get to have this huge role in getting matches for these girls," said Honesdale's girl's wrestling coach, Emily West.
The tournament featured varsity and junior high competition, making it a long day for all of those involved.
