Volunteers gathered in Dixon at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery to honor fallen veterans during the holidays as part of Wreaths Across America. Participants arrived early Saturday morning to lay wreaths on headstones, remember service members, and help ensure their names and stories are not forgotten. The cemetery has partnered with Wreaths Across America for more than six years to honor those who served the nation. Nearly 50,000 service members are buried at the cemetery. Organizers say the annual event helps preserve the legacy of fallen heroes for future generations and encourages others to volunteer through Wreaths Across America.
