Ten people were confirmed dead in the shooting at Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday, including nine civilians and one person believed to be one of the attackers, authorities said. Police confirmed that a second suspected shooter is in custody and is in critical condition. Eleven people were injured in the attack, including two police officers. Officials also said several suspicious items were found in the vicinity and are currently being examined by specialist teams, with an exclusion zone remaining in place around the area.
