Weather warnings are in place across the country - including parts of Merseyside

People are being urged to take care, with parts of Merseyside covered by a yellow weather warning from the Met Office over the next couple of days. The UK's national weather service has issued a yellow warning for rain.

The warning kicked in at 6pm on Saturday and is currently in place until midnight on Monday. The warning is currently covering large parts of Scotland and northern England - including some of Merseyside. According to the Met Office, people can expect periods of heavy rain during this time period, leading to travel disruption and some flooding.
