Darts legend Andy Fordham revealed he consumed a crate of beer daily before he collapsed at the 2007 BDO World Darts Championship . The Viking was cherished by fans but battled serious health complications throughout his championship-winning years.

Fordham was a treasured figure in the darts community for his gentle nature and his incredible 2004 BDO Worlds campaign, where he overcame Raymond van Barneveld before triumphing over Mervyn King in the final to claim the title.

However, during his championship year, the late Fordham reportedly weighed 31 stone, acknowledging that his poor eating habits and excessive drinking were behind his deteriorating health.
