Lisa Faulkner has spoken candidly about her husband John Torode during what she describes as “difficult periods,” following his departure from MasterChef after twenty years with the BBC programme. ‌

In a wide-ranging interview with The Times , the actress and television host was questioned about domestic life since Torode’s exit earlier this year. ‌

“These are challenging times, but I have the most amazing husband. He’s an amazing man,” Faulkner said. ‌

Torode left MasterChef in July after allegations surfaced that he had used an “extremely offensive racial slur” in 2018. While he maintains he has no recollection of the incident and disputes it happened, he ultimately respected the broadcaster’s decision.
