A child sustained life-threatening injuries and three others were seriously injured after a collision between a police cruiser and a pick-up truck near Perth.
The collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Highway 7 while an officer was on patrol in a marked cruiser, between Drummond School Road and Drummond Concession 7, according to a police news release.
The child in the truck was transported to a regional trauma centre by helicopter, while the other two people who suffered serious injuries were taken to hospital.
The officer behind the wheel of the police cruiser was also taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
