A Bondi Beach terrorist attack victim who was shot has been identified as a Holocaust survivor. Alex Kleytman, a Ukrainian native who survived the genocide during World War Two, has been identified as a victim of the mass shooting at a Hanukkah event in Sydney.
His wife, Larisa Kleytman, told The Australian her husband of five decades was killed while trying to save her life during the horror attack. The shooting has been declared a terrorist incident targeting a Jewish celebration at a park next to Bondi Beach.
At least 16 people, including a British-born rabbi and a child, have died, officials have said, after two “gunmen targeted the Jewish celebrations.
