The perennial holiday classic Home Alone had its 35th anniversary last month, with star Macaulay Culkin and director Chris Columbus celebrating with a screening and Q&A at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles on Saturday. The 45-year-old actor made headlines last month when he mentioned his ideas for a Home Alone sequel , which was discussed at the Q&A.

Culkin's pitch was that the adult Kevin McCallister was, "either a widower or a divorcee," adding, "I’m working really hard, and I’m not really paying enough attention and the kid is kind of getting miffed at me, and then I get locked out. [Kevin’s son] won’t let me in… and he’s the one setting traps for me."
