WARREN A Trumbull County animal shelter has seen a recent influx of dogs in need of care, with seven dogs found over the weekend that were left outside in the cold weather, according to a Facebook post .
The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project told 21 News that they have over 120 dogs in need of a new home as of December 2025.
"We desperately need volunteers and fosters," Jason Cooke, president of the shelter, stated. "Any help is greatly appreciated."
Cooke stated that all seven of the dogs rescued over the weekend were found at the same address with frozen water bowls and a lack of proper shelter.
While Cooke says that the six dogs will be receiving veterinary care on Monday morning, one dog was reported to have experienced a seizure upon rescue, and five of the dogs were exhibiti
