KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Mostly clear and quiet overnight. Temperatures quickly plummet into the middle teens early Monday morning with wind chill values near zero in some spots early on.
MONDAY: Layers will be key, especially in the morning hours. Brutal cold will stick around through the day, but the worst will be in the morning hours with feels like temperatures in the single digits. High temperatures will be warmer in the afternoon, with many areas reaching the upper 30s with feels like temperatures in the 20s and plenty of sunshine.
The Cold Weather Advisory continues overnight as wind chills will be near zero in some spots waking up Monday morning.
TUESDAY: The cold temperatures are brief as we gradually begin to thaw out Tuesday. Afternoon highs will be in the middle 40s
