MINNEAPOLIS — On a frigid Tuesday in Minneapolis, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Max Brosmer spent his lone day off this week not resting or reviewing film, but walking the halls of M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center, meeting adult cancer patients and offering something far more personal than football advice: his time.

Brosmer visited the hospital at the invitation of NMDP — formerly known as Be The Match — a nonprofit organization that helps connect patients with lifesaving bone marrow and stem cell donors. Over nearly three hours, he stopped by patient rooms, shared conversations and laughs, and listened to stories from people navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
