There are no major systemic issues plaguing Canada Basketball as the international season closes and even operating under that flawed notion, to think there’s any one solution is to ignore reality.

To be sure, the disappointment of the Paris Olympics is real and the open sore will fester for a fair amount of time. But there is no need for far-reaching changes to the preparation or selection of any of the country’s teams.

Time is needed for the wounds to heal, for a calm assessment of what tweaks are necessary and for everyone to catch a breath and move full speed toward the World Cups and 2028 Los Angeles Games .
