Huntsville Police responded to a robbery involving puppies on Thursday afternoon.

An adult male reported he was selling puppies when armed individuals confronted him on James Madison Drive. The suspects took the puppies and fled after pepper-spraying the victim, though he was not injured.

Police quickly identified a suspect and vehicle of interest. The Anti-Crime Team stopped the vehicle within 30 minutes, finding evidence linking the occupants to the robbery.

Alan O'Brian Lewis Jr., 22, and Ja'Queze Marquise Williams, 21, both from Huntsville, were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery. The puppies were recovered and returned to their owner.

The investigation is ongoing, with more arrests expected.
