Mark Gordon and Constance Marten have both been found guilty of gross negligence manslaughter. The jury returned a verdict in the case of Marten and Gordon, on Monday, July 14, after a trial over the death of their newborn baby.

Marten and Gordon were accused of manslaughter by gross negligence and causing or allowing the death of a child, which they deny. The couple's baby, Victoria, was found dead in a shopping bag in Brighton in 2023 after they spent two months on the run.

The prosecution alleged Victoria died of hypothermia after the couple negligently took her camping. Marten, 38, and Gordon, 51, were previously found guilty of concealing the birth of a child and perverting the course of justice.
