One man died and more than a dozen others were injured after getting struck by lightning at a New Jersey archery range, according to police.
Lightning struck just after 7 p.m. at the Black Knight Bow Benders outdoor archery range on Perrineville Road in Jackson Township, police said. Multiple people were hit by the bolt, with CPR performed on one man, a 61-year-old.
That man, later identified as Robert Montgomery, died as a result of his injuries, Jackson Township police said, while 14 others suffered injuries ranging from burns to complaints of pain and feeling ill. One person had lost consciousness but regained it a short time later.
