Two standout high school football players are among three teenagers charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a 46-year-old man, authorities confirmed.
The suspects — Kimauri Farmer, 18, of Carrollton High School; Joshawia Davis, 17, of Bowdon High; and a 15-year-old whose name has not been released — were arrested in connection with the death of Tyrone Boykin, who was found fatally shot around noon Friday in Carrollton.
Farmer and Davis remain in custody at the Carroll County Jail, according to the jail log. Bond has been denied.
Farmer, a rising senior, verbally committed last month to play college football at Liberty University. According to 247Sports.com, the three-star prospect held additional scholarship offers from Indiana and Kansas and other programs.
