LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Temperatures will be well below average for the beginning of this week. Showers and maybe a few isolated thunderstorms will be likely throughout the day so have an umbrella or rain jacket with you when going outside. Above average temperatures look to return by the weekend.

Today (Memorial Day) will be mainly cloudy, cool and a bit breezy. Rain is going to be likely for much of the day. High temperatures will be in the mid 50s to mid 60s. Average high temperatures for late May are in the mid to upper 70s. Winds today should be east and southeast at 8 to 18 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
