CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The annual GRR Runway 5K and 1-mile fun run is happening at Gerald R. Ford International Airport Saturday morning.
“We are delighted to once again provide our community with the exciting opportunity to run or walk on a course that is typically reserved for aircraft only,” Tory Richardson, president and CEO of the Ford International Airport Authority, said in a release. “Thank you to our sponsors for helping raise awareness and funds for an incredible local charity, Paws With A Cause.”
The 5K race starts at 9 a.m. and the 1-mile fun run is at 9:05 a.m. begins just north of the economy parking lot. It continues to Taxiway Juliet and Runway 8L/26R and ends at the parking lot.
Awards will go to the top three overall male, female and nonbinary 5K racers. Male
