An air quality alert has been issued for the entirety of Minnesota on Sunday as Canadian wildfire smoke continues to impact the state.
The whole of the state is under an "orange" warning for the day, with air quality expected to be unhealthy for sensitive groups.
The alert is in place until 11 p.m. Sunday, but the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency notes it may be extended to Monday "if an additional batch of heavy smoke materializes from Manitoba and Saskatchewan wildfires and is transported into and across Minnesota from north to south."
