MONROE, La. (WVUE) - Louisiana state police have canceled the Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory for a 9-year-old after he was located and found safe.

ORGINAL STORY: Statewide missing child alert issued for 9-year-old last seen in Monroe

The advisory was originally issued early Wednesday morning on behalf of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office after the child was last seen around 11:57 p.m. Tuesday riding an ATV in cornfields near the 2200 block of Highway 80 East in Monroe.

He was believed to be with 38-year-old Ricky Knotts.

The Louisiana State Police received the request to issue the advisory at approximately 4:24 a.m. Wednesday.
