The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors selected a new school superintendent at a board meeting Wednesday morning.

Maya Donnelly will start on July 28 and serve until December 2026, when the position will again be up for election. She is finishing out the term of Alfredo Velasquez, who after being re-elected in 2024 retired mid-term on July 3. ×
