Man found fatally shot in Gwinnett church parking lot identified by police

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A man was found shot to death in the parking lot of a Gwinnett County church early Tuesday.

According to police, the victim is 28-year-old Oscar Alexis Cruz, and he had one gunshot wound.

County police said they were called to 2424 Webb Gin House Road, the address for Cannon United Methodist Church. 11Alive crews at the church could see an active scene in the parking lot early in the morning.

The call came in around 6 a.m., according to a police statement released in the afternoon.
