‘I’ve had the opportunity to coach everything’ Michael Scoggin speaks on becoming Central head baseball coach

Pollok, Texas (KTRE) - It’s been a bit of a coaching carousel this summer for the Central athletic programs.

New faces on the court and on the diamond will head the Bulldogs and Lady Dogs for the 2025-26 athletic calender.

And while he may be new to the third base side at the Hill, new head baseball coach Michael Scoggin is not a new face to Central ISD.

Coaching all across campus from softball to powerlifting.

And all of that experience in the green and black is helping him tackle a brand new experience.

“Going down the hallways, there’s hardly any kids here that don’t know me just because I’ve had the opportunity to coach everything,” Scoggin said. “I’ve got a good relationship with the kids, got a good relationship with the parents, so I think it was a good match,”.
