PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - America’s favorite pastime is evolving to become more inclusive, and the Peoria Chiefs are stepping up to the plate.

Dozer Park will now offer a food and beverage free zone and specialized snacks for fans with food allergies.

General Manager Jason Mott said he’s been working to incorporate this addition for almost a year.

“We want this to be an inclusive ballpark. No matter what you have going on, you should be welcome here and be able to come and enjoy a baseball game,” said Mott.

Stadium staff will block off the concourse above section 103 and fill the area with 32 red seats to indicate that no food or drinks are allowed.
