JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Since President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill has been signed into law, Jacksonville political leaders are taking the time to translate how this will impact those who depend on SNAP benefits to put food on the table.

The biggest change families will see with keeping their SNAP benefits is the work requirements. Currently, many individuals are limited to three months of SNAP benefits every three years unless they are working 20 hours per week or qualify for an exemption.

Florida House Rep. Dean Black says this change is crucial to reduce the fraud in the federal welfare program.
