ARAB, Ala. ( WAFF ) - A woman in Arab is fighting for her life, as her liver is gradually failing.
Now she is working to get a liver transplant to stay alive for her children.
Samantha Privett has been diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver.
“My brother was recently diagnosed with it a few months prior,” said Privett. ”It was emotional because, you know, I never expected to be on the same journey as him.”
Right after Privett was diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, her brother died of the same disease.
As her health continues to decline, she remembers who to keep fighting for.
“My children keep me going, and then I think of my brother, and he wouldn’t want me to give up,” said Privett.
