U.S. Rep. Scott Perry is calling for former Jeffrey Epstein girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell to be placed in protective custody ahead of her expected testimony before the House Oversight Committee.

Perry is an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump, who has flipped his position over the years that the so-called Epstein list, reportedly of powerful political and business leaders, be released to claiming it is now a Democratic hoax .

According to the Wall Street Journal , U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi told Trump in May that his name appears throughout the files on Epstein, who committed suicide in a New York City jail cell in 2019.
