WILLIAMSPORT — A former State College man who admitted using his cell phone to repeatedly threaten to kill a couple in Florida and another in Virginia has received a time-served sentence of zero days.
U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann on Thursday imposed the unusual sentence on Joseph Ryan Suessenbach, 35, because of his significant mental health issues.
The sentence allowed the judge to impose a period of supervised release with more provisions than if he had been placed on probation.
