LOS ANGELES — "E! News" has been canceled in its television format, ending a 34-year run that made it one of entertainment television's longest-running programs, according to multiple reports Thursday.
The show will continue as a digital brand.
The nightly entertainment news program will officially end Sept. 25, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show launched in 1991 and became a staple of celebrity coverage and entertainment journalism. The show is currently hosted by Keltie Knight and Justin Sylvester.
Employees learned of the cancellation news this morning, sources said. While tonight's broadcast will be a repeat, new episodes will resume next week before the September finale.
