Federal Way High School alum Isaiah Afework is playing his best baseball of the summer with the Victoria HarbourCats over his last nine games.

Since July 9, Afework is hitting .285 for Victoria along with five home runs, two doubles and 14 RBI in those nine games.

Afework is coming off an injury that hampered his sophomore season at Tacoma Community College. But he recently committed to continue his college career down in the Southland Conference for Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

In 31 league games this summer for Victoria, Afework is hitting .260 at the plate, but as of late, he is starting to heat up with all five of his home runs coming in the last nine games.
