MADISON COUNTY, Ala. ( WAFF ) - An international fugitive was arrested in Madison County for immigration violations.

Authorities said on Friday, FBI Birmingham, ALEA, HSI, and local law enforcement partners arrested an international fugitive wanted for sexual abuse of a minor in Italy.

The fugitive was identified as Alberto Palla. During an authorized search of the Palla’s home in Madison, authorities said multiple fraudulent identifications were also discovered.

“The FBI is fully committed to crushing violent crime, and we appreciate the remarkable work and strong partnerships in removing the worst of the worst from our communities,” Special Agent in Charge of the Birmingham Division David Fitzgibbons said.
