Three young women have been arrested in connection with a stabbing attack early Saturday morning in North Vancouver.

Two of the three women, all in their early 20s, were taken to hospital with stab wounds, ranging from minor to serious, according to North Vancouver RCMP.

Shortly before 3 a.m., police responded to reports of a distraught woman at Lonsdale Quay near the bus loop.

Officers attended and located a woman who had injuries from what police described as an edged weapon.

Two other women linked to the assault were located on the second floor above the bus loop, one with similar stab wounds.

Police allege that the three women were involved in a dispute and an assault occurred.

All three are facing possible charges.
