A young driver high on drugs clipped a car while overtaking, causing his vehicle to flip and land on top of another car, leaving two women inside seriously injured.
Tyler Luckhurst was at the wheel of his nan’s blue Mercedes C200 in Lower Road, Minster, just before 8pm on September 15 last year.
He had overtaken at speed and crashed into another vehicle being driven in the opposite direction.
The then 22-year-old then did a runner as Johanne Bangs and Lesley Hobman lay injured in their damaged vehicle.
He later said the collision had been caused by a fox which ran out into the road.
The two women suffered broken bones and one suffered a punctured lung.
The air ambulance was called and the route was temporarily closed between Scocles Road and Thistle Hill Way while emergency services
