SAN FRANCISCO — Multiple reports say a Delta Air Lines co-pilot is in custody after law enforcement boarded an airplane and escorted him off in handcuffs, following a flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco.
In an update Monday afternoon, the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office reported that investigators had been monitoring the 34-year-old man since April, after receiving a tip about alleged sex crimes against a child.
The pilot, from Florida, was subsequently arrested Saturday on five counts of oral copulation with a child under 10 years old, according to the sheriff's office. He's being held at the Martinez Detention Facility on $5 million bail.
