MARSHALL, Texas (KSLA) - The Marshall Police Department has arrested a man from Linden for allegedly causing a serious wreck that put two people in the hospital, and spilled diesel all over the road.

According to the Marshall Police Department, the wreck happened just after 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 25 at the intersection of Highway 59 and Loop 390. Witnesses reportedly told police a tractor trailer ran a red light and hit a pickup truck that was towing an empty horse trailer.

The wreck caused diesel fuel to spill onto the road and into a nearby drainage ditch. This spill required Lone Star Hazmat to come out and clean it up, police say.

As a result of the wreck, two people were taken to the hospital. It’s unclear at this time how serious their injuries are.
