SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Two people are facing charges in connection with a rape case in Shreveport.

The Shreveport Police Department says the rape in question happened July 7. After a thorough investigation, the department arrested Jeremiah Vinson and Maurice Shaw in connection with the sexual assault of the 17-year-old victim.

Vinson is charged with third-degree rape, while Shaw is charged with principal to third-degree rape. If convicted, Vinson and Shaw both face up to 25 years in prison, police say.
