WASHINGTON — JetBlue and United Airlines will soon let customers use and earn miles across both airlines, after passing a review by federal regulators this month.
JetBlue and United announced the partnership , known as "Blue Sky" after a review by the U.S. Department of Transportation cleared the collaboration. It was originally announced in May, two years after a similar partnership between JetBlue and American Airlines was blocked by a federal judge.
Customers will be able to earn JetBlue's TrueBlue points by using their account number when booking a United flight. Likewise, customers on JetBlue can earn MileagePlus miles by putting in their United account number when booking.
