WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - More than two years after the death of three-and-a-half-year-old Harper Justice Ivy in a vehicle fire at a Derby Quick Trip, her family continues to honor her memory by giving back to the community.

Her father, Brandon, established the Harper Justice Ivy Foundation after his daughter died in 2023. The focus of this year’s community service is a backpack drive.

“I’ve given out 70 to the Wichita’s Littlest Heroes, it’s a big non-profit in Wichita, and I’m doing fifty for the Wichita Children’s Home, so half the backpack will be going there and the rest will be given out to kids that need them,” said Brandon.

Harper would have been six years old this year and set to start kindergarten in just a couple of weeks.
