WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A Colby accountant admitted to stealing from his own clients and lying to cover it up, according to federal court records. Quintin Flanagin, 45, lied about how he was using money he had stolen. He had stolen the money but claimed it was used for business expenses.
According to the federal court, between December 2021 and August 2022, Flanagin made unauthorized transactions on behalf of one of his clients, Diamond M. Farm. He wrote checks and initiated wire transfers totaling approximately $409,710 to Middle Finger Ranch, which was a fake business name. He disguised the payments to the ranch as farm operations, but actually used the money to build himself a new house.
