EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — An Evansville man is facing DUI charges after a Tuesday night wreck that seriously injured a motorcyclist.

Police responded to the crash around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Elliot Street and Florida Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist with serious injuries to his legs.

EPD says officers believed the other driver, 52-year-old George Rettig IV, was under the influence.

As a result of their investigation, officers arrested Rettig on charges of DUI causing serious bodily injury.

Rettig is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
