SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) — The man accused of shooting a police officer and leading state and federal agencies on an extensive manhunt has a court date set.
According to court records, Daniel McCarn is charged with attempted murder and is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail on a $10 million bond.
He has an appearance docket set for August 20 and is set for a Grand Jury on September 8.
McCarn led officers on a multi-agency manhunt Saturday in Scottsboro, after police say he led officers on a chase that ended with him crashing, leaving his vehicle and shooting SPD Lt. Derek Porch.
