LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man was sentenced to a decade behind bars on Thursday for conspiring to distribute 500 grams or more of meth.

A judge sentenced Carlos Aldalberto Hernandez, Jr., 31, in Lincoln federal court. After his release from prison, he will begin a five-year term of supervised release.

In April and May of 2024, a confidential informant made four purchases of meth from two of Hernandez’s housemates in Lincoln, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Those purchases ranged from ¼ ounce up to approximately ½ ounce of meth.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the last of those purchases occurred on May 6, 2024.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Hernandez’s home that same day and reportedly found a cardboard box containing 14 baggies of meth in his bedroom. Additi
