Wednesday morning at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, the sunny lawns were bare, but the splash pads were busy.

"It hasn't been as hot as the previous summers that we've been here, so I like it. It's bearable," said one expectant mother watching her 2-year-old son live his best life running through the water. "I think it just cools him down because he gets very irritated throughout the day if he's too hot, so it's a good start for our day!"
