MADISON, Neb. (KTIV) - Wednesday morning was the first day the jury heard witnesses’ testimony in Carrie Jones’s trial, who is facing charges related to the four murders in Laurel, Nebraska.
At the Madison County Courthouse, the prosecution called several witnesses to the stand and asked questions to establish a timeline for the jury.
Family members and neighbors of the victims, as well as first responders, gave their testimonies about the early morning of Aug. 4, 2022.
Royce Fairley, who was Carrie Jones’s neighbor at the time, testified about how she reacted to seeing the fire across the street from their houses.
