WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - There’s just over a month left for this year’s Plant a Row for the Hungry program. The program has operated in Sedgwick County for over 20 years and gets fresh produce from local gardens to those in need.

“Cucumbers, squash, zucchini, lots of good things like that even tomatoes, peppers,” said Michael Kasselman with Woodard Mercantile.

All those and more being donated from local gardeners to those in need.

“[We] had a guy who came in the other day had five different kinds of peppers, he said he makes salsa and he had too many so some of them were those ghost peppers and I said we don’t even want to touch them they’re so hot,” said Cathy Brady with Brady Nursery.
