WILDWOOD — Sporting a min-tuxedo and licking a pinwheel lollipop, Atayo, 4, trailed alongside his mother, Heather Coles, on Wednesday as she pushed his stroller-turned-spacecraft down the Boardwalk for the city's 115th baby parade.

Inspired by the 1997 sci-fi film "Men in Black," Coles, 41, of Pasadena, Maryland, made a UFO using a large, clear umbrella wrapped in foil-covered cardboard.

"You've got to go big or go home," she said.

Atayo first participated in the parade as a 1-year-old, and Coles said the event has become a part of her family's shore tradition.

The parade began at 6 p.m. at the Convention Center and proceeded along the Boardwalk to Cedar Avenue, where winners were announced. Nearly two dozen children participated.
